Alarum

Alarum changelog

A running list of everything that has changed in Alarum. The most recent release is at the top, open it to see what's new and what's been fixed.

v1.68.51

Oct 13, 2026
feat(claude-code)

In Claude Code, the Alarum tab now carries its own count: Alarum (3) while three of the events your filters leave are unread, and Alarum alone once you have read them all. You can see what is waiting without leaving the pane you are in

v1.67.51

Oct 11, 2026
feat(agent)

You can now read your events from outside the browser: create an agent token under Settings > Your agent, and a terminal panel, a script or a CLI can list your events, filter them by project or level, and mark them read. Available on the paid plans

feat(claude-code)

If you work in Claude Code, your events now live where you do: a line above the prompt shows the latest one, and a side pane lists them with what each one says. One press drops an event into your prompt so a failed deploy becomes the next thing you ask about, and marking one read there clears it in your inbox too. Install it with /plugin marketplace add FrBmt-BIGetNouf/alarum-claude-mod

fix(claude-code)

In the Claude Code pane, an event's buttons stay readable when the pane is narrow, and the read mark is now a plain checkbox: empty until you tick it

v1.65.50

Sep 24, 2026
fix(changelog)

The changelog page shows its release history again

v1.65.49

Aug 13, 2026
fix(auth)

An invitation link you open while signed out now goes through as soon as you sign in, instead of dropping you into the app with nothing joined

v1.65.48

Jul 27, 2026
fix(ingestion)

Events sent at the same moment are no longer rejected: the server waits for its turn and retries instead of answering with an error

fix(ingestion)

An event that was successfully stored no longer reports a failure, so your integration will not send it a second time

fix(notifications)

Your quiet hours recap can no longer arrive twice for the same night, even if the notification is interrupted halfway through

perf(notifications)

Your quiet hours recap is now sent faster after a night with a lot of unread events

v1.65.44

Jul 22, 2026
feat(invitations)

You can now copy an invitation link and share it yourself, on top of the automatic email; the invite dialog also tells you whether the email was sent

v1.64.44

Jun 21, 2026
feat(events)

Your inbox and a project's events now filter the same way as the dashboards: by level, time range, tags, source and token, all in one panel.

feat(dashboard)

On phones, the dashboard filters now start collapsed and open with a tap, so your charts show right away instead of being pushed down the screen.

feat(billing)

Your billing page now shows when this month's event count resets, with a countdown and the exact date.

v1.61.44

Jun 19, 2026
feat(events)

You can now mark everything as read with a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl or Cmd, plus Alt and R): all your events from the inbox, or just the current project's events from a project page.

v1.60.44

Jun 18, 2026
feat(search)

You can now open a search palette from anywhere with Cmd or Ctrl+K, search your events full text (past history included), and jump straight to any workspace or project by name without opening the sidebar.

fix(search)

The search button in the header now shows its Cmd or Ctrl+K shortcut on wider screens, so the keyboard shortcut is easier to discover.

v1.59.43

Jun 17, 2026
feat(pricing)

The plans have clearer names (Discover, Freelance and Agency), and there is a new Company option for custom needs you can reach us about. The pricing page now lays out all four side by side.

feat(plans)

Each plan now comes with a clear monthly event quota. If you reach it, new events simply pause until the 1st of next month instead of ever costing you anything extra. There is no usage based billing.

feat(billing)

Your billing page now shows how many events you have used this month against your plan's quota, with a progress bar and a quick upgrade link as you get close.

feat(billing)

You now get an email at 80% and again at 100% of your monthly event quota, so hitting the limit is never a surprise.

v1.55.43

Jun 9, 2026
fix(nav)

Navigation highlighting is now reliable everywhere. The sidebar item and the section tabs (Inbox, Dashboard, Settings and the rest) correctly show the page you are on, including right after you open the app or refresh a page directly by its address. Before, the current entry could stay un-highlighted until you clicked away and came back.

v1.55.42

Jun 8, 2026
feat(dashboard)

There is a new global dashboard, reachable under Inbox in the sidebar (and as a new tab in the bottom bar on your phone), that brings together every workspace and project you can see in one place. It charts your event volume and levels over a time range, lets you filter by workspace, project, level, tag and source, and ranks your busiest workspaces.

feat(dashboard)

Each workspace now has its own dashboard, a new tab right after Projects, covering all the projects in that workspace at once. It shows the same event-volume and level charts as a single project, with filters for project, level, tag and source over a time range, plus a ranking of the busiest projects in the workspace.

v1.53.42

Jun 7, 2026
fix(push)

Push notifications on your phone arrive reliably again. A recent change had flagged every notification as top urgency, which led your phone's push service to throttle and sometimes drop them. Notifications now use the standard delivery priority, so they come through like before.

fix(pwa)

The "new version available" banner is now always in English and no longer gets cut off on a phone, where it wraps onto several lines instead. It keeps a single Reload button so a fresh version is never left half-applied.

v1.53.40

Jun 6, 2026
feat(pwa)

When you open Alarum signed in (PWA launch, fresh browser tab, hard refresh), you now land straight on your inbox instead of the marketing home page. The header logo still takes you back to the public home page from inside the app, so nothing is locked away.

feat(auth)

New users now receive a welcome email right after signing up. It walks you through creating your first project, generating a token, sending your first event with a copy-paste curl snippet, installing Alarum as a Progressive Web App on your phone, and points you at the documentation, integration examples and a contact address if you need help.

v1.51.40

Jun 5, 2026
feat(ui)

The Alarum logo in the header now brings you back to the home page even when you're signed in, instead of bouncing you straight to your inbox. On every public page (home, pricing, documentation, changelog, FAQ, use cases, legal notices), the header now shows your avatar and account menu while you're signed in, so you can hop back to your inbox, open settings, install the app or sign out from anywhere without losing context. On the home page itself, the "Continue with GitHub / Codeberg" buttons turn into a single, more visible "Go to your inbox" call-to-action once you're authenticated.

v1.50.40

Jun 4, 2026
fix(events)

On a project's Events tab, the "No events yet" call-to-action now adapts to your setup. If the project has no token, the button takes you to the project's Settings to create one, instead of sending you to the Integration page where the code snippet wouldn't be usable yet. Once a token exists, the button keeps its previous behaviour and opens Integration.

v1.50.39

Jun 3, 2026
fix(dashboard)

The Range select on a project dashboard has been trimmed from 18 options down to 8 well-spaced periods (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year), removing the day-by-day granularity (2 to 6 days), the redundant 28 days vs 30 days pair, and the rarely-useful week-based jumps (3 weeks, 5 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 years). If a previously saved link uses a range that no longer exists, it now snaps to the nearest available option instead of leaving the select empty.

v1.50.38

Jun 1, 2026
feat(pwa)

When a new version of Alarum is deployed, opening the installed app now shows a brief success toast confirming the update is live, so you know you have the latest fixes. The PWA also re-checks for updates each time you bring it back to the foreground, so new deploys reach you faster instead of waiting for the browser's once-a-day check.

fix(workspaces)

The Workspace Members tab now has an "Invite a member" tile at the bottom of the member list, so sending an invitation no longer requires the page-header button. Especially useful on mobile, where that header button is hidden by design.

fix(inbox)

The Mark all as… menu now shows a loading spinner while the request is in flight, so accidental double-clicks no longer fire the action twice. Choosing "Deleted" now asks for confirmation first: a single warning on a project view, a two-step confirmation on the global Inbox where the action wipes events across every workspace. Events deleted via this menu also disappear from the list immediately instead of lingering greyed out.

v1.49.36

May 31, 2026
feat(landing)

The home page now has a dedicated "Use cases" section that surfaces the concrete situations Alarum is built for (CI/CD alerts, cron monitoring, webhook aggregation, Discord/Slack bridge, server monitoring, error tracking), each with its own card and a direct link to a full landing page

feat(use-cases)

Six new use-case landing pages have been added under /use-cases, each with a problem/solution explanation, a ready-to-copy code snippet, a list of why Alarum fits, and a comparison with the usual alternatives. An index at /use-cases groups them all and a "Related use cases" section at the bottom of each page suggests two siblings to read next

feat(faq)

A new /faq page answers the most common questions in four sections: how Alarum compares (Healthchecks, Sentry, Zapier, chat channels), data and privacy (storage location, GDPR, deletion), pricing and plans (free tier, cancellation, per-seat fees, overage), and integration (supported languages, self-hosting, support contact)

feat(legal)

Two new legal pages are now live: /privacy (full GDPR-compliant privacy policy with sub-processors, data retention by plan, your rights and contact) and /refund (cancellation, EU 14-day cooling-off, goodwill refunds, chargeback policy). Both are reachable from the public footer

feat(footer)

The public footer (shown on the home page, pricing, documentation and every landing) has been redesigned with three labelled columns: Product (documentation, pricing, use cases, FAQ, integration guide, changelog), Use cases (the six landings), and Legal (notice, terms, privacy, refund). A short product tagline replaces the single-line copyright

feat(billing)

Settings → Billing has been redesigned: the top card now shows your active subscription's cycle, status and next renewal or scheduled cancellation date, with one-click access to Paddle's customer portal (invoices, payment method) and a Cancel button that schedules the cancellation at the end of your period. A new "Keep my plan" banner lets you revert a scheduled cancellation in one click before the period ends. Paid plans are still being prepared with our payment provider, so the Upgrade buttons currently show "Coming soon"

feat(pricing)

Plan cards now line up on eight matching features across Free, Pro and Team (workspaces, projects per workspace, tokens per project, members per workspace, detail retention, trend retention, hourly rate-limit, overage policy). Limits have been tuned: workspace sharing is now available from Pro (with up to 2 members per workspace, 10 on Team), per-token hourly limits are 50/300/1000 events, and the overage line spells out exactly what happens beyond the cap (events rejected on Free, billed at 1 € per 1,000 on Pro and Team)

feat(docs)

The documentation page and the AI-agent integration guide now embed an interactive code-snippet picker covering eleven languages and CI runners (cURL, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Codeberg CI, JavaScript fetch and axios, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, PowerShell, bash script), each pre-filled with a working sample payload. The plain-text version at /llms.txt has been expanded with the same eleven snippets so AI assistants can paste them straight into a project

fix(ui)

The public pages (Documentation, Integration guide, Changelog, Legal notice, Terms of service, Privacy policy, Refund policy) now scroll their footer alongside the rest of the content instead of pinning it to the bottom of the viewport, and various small typographic and wording refinements have been applied across the same pages

v1.41.35

May 30, 2026
feat(workspaces)

The Members page now lists pending workspace invitations above actual members, showing the invitee's email, who sent the invitation and when it expires, with Resend and Cancel buttons on each row

feat(email)

Workspace invitation emails have a refreshed HTML layout with the Alarum logo, an Accept invitation button, and now show who invited you (name and email) in both the subject and the body

v1.39.35

May 29, 2026
feat(notifications)

The favicon dot now matches the severity of the highest unread event (info, success, warn, error or critical), so a glance at the browser tab tells you whether something urgent is waiting

feat(dashboard)

Revoked tokens stay visible in the dashboard's filter list so you can still narrow charts to events they received in the past, but they are dimmed and tagged "revoked" to set them apart from active ones

feat(pricing)

Plan cards now spell out two retention horizons side by side: a short detail history for the raw events you can drill into, and a longer trend history that keeps your dashboard charts populated even after raw events have aged out

feat(ui)

Every page header (app, landing, pricing, documentation, changelog, legal notices) now shares the same height, padding and themed inline logo, instead of three slightly different styles depending on the page

fix(pricing)

Retention is now decided by your plan alone (3 days on Free, 30 on Pro, 90 on Team) and the per-project Retention setting has been removed. This avoids the case where a project setting silently contradicted the cap of your plan

fix(ui)

After signing out, the browser tab's unread counter and the favicon dot reset immediately to the empty state instead of staying frozen on the previous session's data

fix(ui)

Marking a single event as read or unread now updates the favicon dot's colour right away to reflect the next-highest unread severity, instead of staying on the previous one until the next background refresh

fix(ui)

On the public-page headers (Documentation, Changelog, Pricing, and so on), the section name shown next to the logo is now lighter and aligned with the wordmark's baseline instead of being bold and floating mid-height

v1.35.31

May 28, 2026
feat(events)

The event detail page has been redesigned: the level tile and the Mark as read / Delete buttons share a single top row, the project icon and name appear right above the event title, fields stack one per row on phones and tablets for easier reading, and the action buttons are sized for comfortable thumb taps on mobile (more compact on desktop)

feat(events)

An event's raw payload is now syntax-highlighted when it's JSON, with the same colour scheme as the Integration code snippets, so keys, strings and numbers stand out at a glance instead of blending into a wall of text

feat(events)

Event cards in the Inbox and project lists have been redesigned: a bigger and clearer level tile on the left, the project name, title, message, source and tags all aligned on the same gutter, a stronger unread cue (tinted background, dot, bold title), and a more spacious rhythm. The per-card Delete button has moved into the event detail page as a Delete/Restore toggle next to Mark as read, so a stray click in the list can no longer wipe an event

fix(events)

On a collapsed stack of repeated events, the peeking layers behind the top card now reflect their own unread state, so a stack where only older items are unread no longer looks fully read at a glance

fix(events)

On mobile, the back arrow on an event detail now falls back to the Inbox when there's no previous page to return to, typically when the event was opened straight from a push notification (previously the arrow did nothing in that case)

fix(events)

When you mark a single event as read or unread, the browser tab's unread counter and the sidebar badges (Inbox, workspaces, projects) now update instantly instead of waiting up to 30 seconds for the next background refresh

v1.32.28

May 27, 2026
feat(billing)

A new Billing section in Settings shows your current plan and how many events you've received this month, with a side-by-side comparison of the available plans

feat(dashboard)

Dashboard volume and level trends are now preserved as long-term daily history that outlives individual events, so your charts keep their past as older events are cleaned out, and the time range now reaches up to 30 days

fix(ui)

The account menu in the top bar now closes on its own once you pick an item (Settings, Documentation, Log out, and so on), instead of staying open behind you

fix(events)

On a phone, a project's event list now offers the same Filters and "Mark all as" controls as the Inbox, shown right under the project tabs (previously available on desktop only)

fix(workspaces)

Creating a workspace, project or token is smoother: the name field is focused as soon as the form opens, holding Enter can no longer create duplicates, and you now get a clear message when you've reached your plan's limit instead of the form silently doing nothing

v1.30.25

May 26, 2026
feat(integration)

Code snippets on the Integration page are now syntax-highlighted, making the ready-to-paste examples easier to read at a glance

fix(icons)

The icon picker is fixed: icons no longer show up as empty boxes for long-time visitors (the app now refreshes its icon font in the background instead of staying frozen on the version cached on your first visit), and the icon list itself was corrected, icons that were wrongly missing now appear, while duplicate legacy names that drew the very same icon were removed

v1.29.24

May 25, 2026
feat(events)

Event cards in the Inbox and in a project's event list have been redesigned: the source project now stands out at the top with its coloured icon, the time moved to the top-right corner, the title spans the full width (no longer cut short on phones), and the mark-as-read and delete buttons sit together at the bottom-right of the card

feat(events)

An event's raw payload now shows as cleanly formatted, indented JSON instead of one dense line, and in full, with no height limit, so it's far easier to read. Non-JSON payloads are still shown as-is

feat(ui)

Your browser tab now reflects unread events even when YesIF isn't in focus: the tab title is prefixed with the count (e.g. "(3) …") and the favicon switches to an unread version. Both revert automatically once everything is read

v1.26.24

May 24, 2026
fix(workspaces)

A workspace's name, colour and icon can now only be changed by its owner. Other members keep full access to the projects, events and tokens inside it, and read-only access to the workspace's own settings

fix(ios)

On iOS, when yesif is installed to the Home Screen, the top bar no longer slips under the iPhone's status bar (clock and signal) and the bottom navigation now sits clear of the home indicator

fix(notifications)

On iOS, push notifications, including the quiet-hours recap, no longer arrive in duplicate. Each device now keeps a single push registration even after the browser silently re-subscribes it in the background

fix(notifications)

When a busy project's alerts fold into a single rolling notification, the earlier individual notifications now clear away on their own instead of lingering next to the summary on your phone

fix(notifications)

The quiet-hours recap now reliably reaches you once your quiet hours end, it could previously fail to send at all depending on how often the server's scheduler runs

v1.26.19

May 22, 2026
feat(events)

When the same event repeats back-to-back on a project (same title, message and tags), the Inbox and the project's event list now collapse them into a single stack with a ×N badge instead of a wall of duplicates. Click the stack to expand and read each one, or mark the whole group as read or delete it in one go

feat(notifications)

When your quiet hours end, YesIF can now send you a single recap push per project, summing up the events you missed by level, so you catch up at a glance without opening the app. It's on by default and can be switched off right under your quiet hours settings; anything you already read during the night is left out, and a project stays silent if you missed nothing

feat(notifications)

A flurry of events from a busy project no longer stacks up as a dozen separate notifications. Once a few are waiting, YesIF folds them into a single rolling notification that counts them by level (e.g. "8 new events: 5 success, 2 info, 1 warning") and updates as more arrive; tapping it opens that project

feat(sidebar)

The desktop sidebar now shows your total unread count on the Inbox entry, matching the badges already on workspaces and projects

v1.22.19

May 20, 2026
fix(events)

New events now appear live in the Inbox and in a project's events list, no manual refresh needed. Previously only the sidebar unread count moved while the open list stayed frozen until you navigated away and back

fix(events)

The 'x minutes ago' timestamps in event lists now tick forward on their own instead of staying frozen at the value they showed when the page first loaded

fix(security)

Your project token can now travel in the Authorization: Bearer header instead of in the URL, so it no longer ends up in server access logs or shell history. The integration guide, examples and copy-paste snippets all use the header now; existing setups that still pass the token in the URL keep working

v1.22.16

May 18, 2026
fix(notifications)

On mobile, your 'Enable notifications' choice now survives app updates. While the app checks the current state, a discreet 'Checking…' message replaces the Enable button (no more flash), and if the browser silently drops the subscription, YesIF re-registers it transparently as long as you'd previously opted in

fix(dashboard)

The 7d / 30d / 90d range toggle moved out of the Dashboard header into the Filters bar, next to Levels. It now offers the same range options as the project's retention setting (1 day up to 6 weeks), capped at whatever retention you've configured

feat(integration)

Integration has moved out of the per-project tabs and into its own top-level entry under Inbox in the sidebar, easier to reach from anywhere in the app. On mobile it lives in the user menu

feat(icons)

The icon picker now offers the full official Material Symbols Rounded catalogue (~3,900 icons), grouped by Google's own categories (Actions, Communicate, Hardware, Travel, UI actions, etc.)

feat(events)

Events are no longer archived, only read, deleted, or restored. Deleted events no longer count toward Dashboard stats either, so deleting an event truly undoes its noise

feat(dashboard)

A new filter bar on the Dashboard lets you slice the charts and top lists by tokens, level, tags or sources. Multi-select dropdowns with checkboxes; the charts redraw immediately and their built-in legends/filters are gone

feat(sidebar)

On desktop, workspaces you collapse or expand in the sidebar now stay that way after a reload, your tree is remembered locally

fix(integration)

On the Integration page, the Advanced payload fields (fields, author, color, timestamp) are now shown directly, no extra click to expand

fix(sidebar)

Clicking a workspace or a project in the desktop sidebar now navigates as expected again, the new touch-friendly drag-to-reorder was hijacking the click

feat(icons)

Pick from a much larger catalogue of icons for your workspaces and projects, hundreds of curated glyphs (medical, sport, animals, energy, household, weather, and more), with the rest of the Material Symbols set loaded quietly in the background after the app is ready so startup stays snappy

feat(icons)

Filter the icon picker by category in addition to the search box, icons are grouped under headers like Communication, Layout, Devices, Food & drink, etc., and a dropdown lets you focus on a single category

fix(mobile)

Tapping 'New project' or 'New workspace' now scrolls the form into view and focuses the name field, so it's obvious the button did something even when you were far down the list

fix(mobile)

On phones, the General section of a project's or workspace's Settings page is now collapsed by default. The icon picker no longer eats your scroll on the way to Tokens, Forwarders, Notifications or the Danger Zone below. On desktop it stays open as before

fix(ui)

No more flash of raw icon names ("expand_more", "settings"…) before the icon font finishes loading. Project and workspace icons that aren't in the initial subset briefly show a discrete "#" while the wider icon set is fetched, instead of leaking the name on screen

v1.15.9

May 17, 2026
feat(projects)

Move a project to another workspace from its Settings page, handy when you've outgrown your initial workspace layout

feat(workspaces)

The Workspaces grid now uses bigger, richer cards that show the workspace's identity colour, project count, unread count, creation date and a coloured preview of its first projects

fix(mobile)

Reordering projects and workspaces now works on touch screens, the grip handle stays visible on phones so you can drag with your finger

fix(ui)

Hovering a workspace or project card now gently tints its background with the card's own colour, instead of swapping the border colour

fix(account)

The 'Default workspace' option has been removed from Preferences, it didn't actually influence anything in the app

v1.13.6

May 16, 2026
feat(docs)

The Documentation page is now a real guide, quick start, workspaces & projects, tokens, events & levels, inbox & filters, notifications & quiet hours, re-forwarding, and retention & account, all in one place.

feat(changelog)

The Changelog page has been redesigned to match the other public pages, filled with the actual release notes, and made readable without signing in.

feat(sign-in)

You can now sign in with Codeberg, in addition to GitHub.

feat(account)

Got both a GitHub and a Codeberg account? Link them together so you can sign in with either one and land on the same workspaces, projects and tokens.

feat(account)

Manage your sign-in providers from Settings → Profile. Link or unlink a provider any time, at least one must stay linked so you don't lock yourself out.

feat(forwarders)

Pick exactly which events a Discord, Slack or custom forwarder should re-broadcast: every event of a project, or only events from one specific source token.

feat(notifications)

Mute or amplify push notifications source by source. A noisy cron job no longer forces you to mute the whole project.

feat(retention)

Choose how long events stick around per project: 1 to 7 days, or 2 to 6 weeks. Unread events are kept for up to 90 days even if older.

feat(ui)

Your inbox no longer flashes when it auto-refreshes in the background. A small status dot on the Inbox icon shows when a sync is happening or if it failed.

feat(ui)

The Settings entry has moved into the user dropdown at the top, freeing up space in the sidebar.

feat(integration)

The Integration tab now exposes the full event payload, custom fields, author, color and timestamp, under an Advanced section.

feat(pwa)

Install YesIF as an app directly from the user menu (Android and desktop). iOS users see a Share-to-Home-Screen hint.

feat(public)

New public pages reachable without signing in: Documentation, Integration guide (for agents and CLIs), Legal notice and Terms of service. Links are in the footer of every public page.

fix(mobile)

On phones, the token list in a project's Settings now lays out vertically (info on top, Configure/Revoke below) instead of being squeezed horizontally.

fix(mobile)

On phones, the re-forwarding list in a project's Settings lays out vertically too (info on top, Edit/Delete below).

fix(naming)

Throughout the app, "hook" has become "event", clearer for people coming from notification tools rather than from webhooks-only backgrounds.

fix(ui)

The level filter buttons in the inbox now use the same coloured chip style as the Integration tab.

fix(search)

The search modal has a refreshed look: a bigger input on mobile, integrated icons, and an instant clear button as soon as you start typing.

fix(mobile)

Token and forwarder lists are now properly laid out on phones, info on top, actions below, instead of being squeezed horizontally.

v1.0.0

May 13, 2026
feat(release)

First release. Sign in, create a workspace, group projects together, mint one token per source and start sending events. Read everything in a unified inbox, receive push notifications, and re-forward to Discord, Slack or any other webhook.
